The Right Stuff: Tools for the Job
Arched Cabins and Tools Required For a Smooth Build
Building season is in full swing in the south and just gearing up in the North! As the frost thaws and the gardens grow, we are preparing to build. Often, we are focused on the big picture and worry about the details later. One detail that is frequently overlooked is the tools we need to successfully complete the job at hand.
Investing In Your Sweat
Acquiring tools is a lifelong endeavor and hopefully this will help you prioritize the most important tools for building your haven. Whether this is home, a mountain retreat, or weekend getaway, it is great to have what you need to keep the job moving. Good tools that will last a lifetime can be attained through an array of avenues.
Second-Hand Savings
Big box stores are a go-to for most items. However, you can save some money on the big-ticket items by buying them second hand such as ladders, scaffolding, nail guns and materials.
These larger ticket items will be used throughout the process of your build and can be resold when you are done. When it comes to hand tools, buy quality name brand tools that will last. It will be well worth it when you are holding that same hammer 20 years down the road.
Here is a list of tools that will be essential to building an Arched Cabin home:
